This award seeks to recognize an emerging leader in the plant sciences with characteristics and values that reflect Dr. Norman Borlaug's legacy. The nominee should have a record of impactful and innovative research in the plant sciences or related fields. Finally, the nominee should display a strong commitment to social impact and leadership within their respective research communities and beyond.
The award will be presented as a part of the Annual Borlaug Memorial Lecture Series, held virtually each October. This symposium will feature a recent World Food Prize laureate or a Borlaug Field Award recipient.
