The Emerging Leader in Plant Science award seeks to recognize an emerging leader in the plant sciences with characteristics and values that reflect Dr. Norman Borlaug's legacy. The nominee should have a record of impactful and innovative research in the plant sciences or related fields. Finally, the nominee should display a strong commitment to social impact and leadership within their respective research communities and beyond. Submit a nomination.
The award will be presented as a part of the Annual Borlaug Memorial Lecture Series, held on the University of Minnesota St. Paul campus (also via zoom) each October. This symposium will feature a recent World Food Prize laureate or a Borlaug Field Award recipient.
